Test Valley Borough Council is making an impression. We’ve just been voted the best mid-sized Council as well as one of the top ten councils overall to work for in the UK by The Times. As part of our commitment to maximise the capacity and impact of our organisation we have reviewed our management structure and are now looking for talented individuals to join our team. We have opportunities for Heads of Service to lead the Leisure & Wellbeing Service, the Environmental Service, the Planning & Building Service and the Estates & Economic Development Service. These are key strategic roles that will influence how we go forward as a progressive Borough Council. This site will give you a brief overview of the Borough Council, a detailed view of each of the Heads of Service roles, and details of how to apply for the positions.
It’s a big achievement that The Times has put us at the top of our category and in the top ten councils to work for in the UK. And the achievement is even greater when you consider the judges were the employees. As you can imagine we mean to build on this success. Our Head of Service roles will be integral to the way we develop the Borough Council. We are looking for leaders who understand the bigger picture and who are prepared to challenge the status quo and push us to provide better services.
